Create a design on paper, paint on Liquid Sculpey, and bake. After baking, purify off the paper, the design has permanently transferred onto the layer of Liquid Sculpey. When artists oil paints are contradictory with it, it can be used as an enamel, a glaze or a backfilling blend. When pigments or mica powders are mixed with it, it can be stipple, a metallic varnish or a grout for polymer clay mosaics. Do you really NEED liquid polymer clay?
I only started working with polymer clay (specifically premo and kato) and was wondering...in order to make things fellow to each other - say, a cherry on top of a cupcake or a rose on top of a wedding cake - do you need to secure it with liquid clay before baking or will the clay bond together enough by itself? I'm fearful about small parts falling off after baking, so any hints, tips, and advise would be greatly appreciated!...:-)
It has been about 16 years since I worked a lot with polymer clay, but you might try this:
Herds the pieces lightly where they will be joined, and put a drop of water on them, and smoosh them together (highly technical term). I create this would work.
Or just smoosh the pieces together just shy of actually blending the clay (if they are different colors), or in reality blending it a little if they are the same colors. I know that this method works.
