Does anyone know what issue of McCalls Needlework Magazine from the 1970s has the tube hat pattern?
I'm looking for a knitted hat ornament. It was made of the son of wool, size 10 or 10 1 / 2 dp needles, knitted in a tube and one end of the shoot in the other. It is the warmest hat I've ever made, but can not find the model I had.
You do not need a reason for that ... you have already given instructions for your question! That is exactly what you do ... Simply knitting and explosion in a round tube ... then fold it the other way. You can make clear point or 1 / 1 ribs.
There are models like this on the net .. just google for it. Take any model and knit hat twice .. from the fold, and you have one. Make the end of different colors, and you can wear them both ways!
You can try to do anyway not using dpn or circular needle. Its called Double Knitting, Just cast on the coast and make a few lines then knittill routine beanie twice the size, coast lines, then knit the first line of coast to join and see how you go.

McCalls Needlework & Crafts magazine, circa 1970s?
I'm looking for a crochet decoration for a triangular shawl that was published in McCall's some time between the late 1960s to the 1970s. It was a quadruple crochet layout that produced a very web-like and lacy pattern, and had a fringe about a foot long on two sides. Can anyone help?
