I am knitting an afghan on a 5mm circular needle, how many stitches should I cast on?
Hi, I'm knitting an Afghan on a disc of 5mm needle. Online I can not find anywhere the number of stitches on the i can throw. needles is 29 in long. I am also knitting, purling not only the knit stitch. I want the coverage of at least 48 inches to 54 inches wide. can someone prevent me please with the amount of stitches to the cast?
the form of points you need to throw you on the need to knit a sample test to determine the number of points and how many rows to 10cm - and the inadequacy of measures to make Afghanistan. If you have done entraloc in knitting, or with Afghan Stitch, have you ever tried it with single crochet?
I have done it with Afghan Stitch and in solitary select crochet, but not in knitting, I would like to see it done in knitting and wonder about it's popularity in any of the stitches for needles and hooks.

I have yet to try it (too busy procrastinating on other projects) but it looks so fun and inviting. I knit and crochet but find crochet easier.

have knitted a few jackets for myself in entrelac with many manifold coloured yarns - makes an interesting talking point when I go out with my coat of many colours (often get accosted by people who are fascinated on how it was made)but have never tried it with crochet.
Not too docile to come by patterns for this technique for clothing so I had to design my own.
Loved knitting this way but alas due to arthritis it has now become difficult - but as I can still crochet must give it a try.

A pastime much, much more rewarding than just sew-sew She worked in a knitting shop. She crocheted afghans in wild colors for family members. I tried to crochet. My grandmother scolded my efforts and made me rip out what I had done wrong and do it again. It was no fun whatsoever. |
