I impecuniousness to make a triangular kite with tissue paper and kites for children of preschool age.
You're hungry to mimic a "fight against" kite style. Cut a 2 inch fabric on the size that you want to cut a triangle with scallops or bird tail bottom margin. Then place a straw on each side of the triangle, so that they touch on top and place a line of glue and the fabric sheet on the periphery of straws. Finally, you'll need to cut the end of a straw, suitable for a "bar" (like a straw Spoon ICEE) and gum 1 / 3 of the way the triangle. Let dry and then kite thread using light and tie to the crossbar.I would like to keep the rope below 5 meters since the fabric is fragile and can easily tear in the wind, but they fly with very little breeze. Hopefully this is clear enough. Good luck!
Where to buy pinchbeck kite and paper kite ?
It depends on where you living, but you can buy some at Wal-Mart, especially some nice plastic ones, and paper kites are there sometimes. Target had paper kites galore last year, I even bought a good dragon paper kite online through them.
There's also other sites, including eBay. I would check eBay first, since you'll probably find some cheaper on there than you would at Wal-Mart and Object (not including shipping of course)
Good luck!
