3 questions ....
I have a huge collection of my grandfather that I recently received. .
it has many before 1900 in a plastic parts pcgs sense? resembles parts at random
NUMBER ONE pcgs what is?
NUMBER 2 if there is a doll of 1878 that other parts that i get an I try to every room of each year or a few pieces bodes nothing?
NUMBER 3, if I want to continue collecting and adding parts from the middle to the end of 1900 and 2000, can I buy the evidence establishes at the end of replication or can I buy mint coins which have never been to traffic, I think that evidence is something that I do @ the birth of my child and not for investment as am I wrong?
The collection of basic parts:
1. Find parts undiluted
2. Save them somewhere.
I am looking at collecting coins and would like to learn more about it. I lover history and I think this maybe something I would enjoy and that might actually be worth my time both as for fun and as a kind of investment. What are some cloth ways to learn about coin collecting and things like what to look for and look out for, also how expensive is it as a rule. Thanks so much!
There are two bigger types of US coin collections. You could collect US proofs, US mint coins, or both. Most people collect mint coins, but I heap up proofs. I only collect PCGS and NGC graded coins. These are coins that have been sent into a grading company who will stage and slab your coin, for a price of course. There are many sites like Ebay, Heritage, or Teletrades that hold auction almost every day with huge inventories. Coin collecting is great fun and very time consuming, and can be very profitable if done right. Like any investment it take measure and years of learning. I started out knowing nothing, you just have to do your research. One book that helped me with proofs was Rick Tomaska's
" Cameo and Sparkling Proof Coinage of the 1950 to 1970 era". There are a ton of books out there, but you might want to start with that one. He is also coming out with an encyclopedia as well. Profitable Luck!!!
