aquarium filter?
I bought an aqua-tech aquarium filter 30-60 but it has not struck with insturctions I do not know how to configure. When I tried to set up, I plugged it in and made a great noise.
and it is very basic ... all you have to do is add a little water. on a cup! many people say to fill all the way, but then the filter does not work as hard to add a cup of A-and if the water doesn't fill and then add another cup! this is the best way! also remember to change your cartridge at least once a month!
fill indefensible pump / filter resevoirs with water .... before turning it on .. it is called "priming" the void. Otherwise, the pump do not make any noise and water will flow.
What type of aquarium filter should i buy?
I am prevailing to buy a 10 gallon aquarium and put a chinese algae eater, 2 male swordtails, 1 virile and 1 female dwarf gourmis, an albino rainbow shark, and 2 nerite snails. The aquarium will have a 5 inch foam stone and a 15 gallon air pump. The aquarium will be heated to 78 degrees. There will be no live plants. I am taste towards getting an aqua-tech 5-15 gallon box filter, but im not sure. I have heard alot of good things about bio-wheels. Im branch lost over wut kind of filter i should have. You guys always like specifics, hope that was specific enough, lol. Thanks for any answers!
Aqua-tech filter should be fair,they are just a cheap filter but I have one in with my cichlids and it works well.The only problem with them I find is there is no flow regulator to turn down the current which I like when I am keeping bettas.Publish sure what ever filter you decide on the cartridges are easy to get in your area.
Aqua Clean's power filter is a good one. It has different size such as 5-20 gallon, 10-30 gallons and etc. For a 10 gallon tank a 5-20 gallon should satiate.
